Gigi lamp is a floor lamp, produced as a limited edition of 50 pieces. The project stems from the simple mechanism with which the lamp holder fork, due to its eccentric weight, locks onto the rod, and the project was “built” around this feature. The base is made up of a single solid Carrara marble from which a fine metal rod rises, a fork modeled to accommodate the lamp slides on this rod. The fork can be positioned at any point and at any height of the rod and automatically locks wherever it is left, with the possibility of partially customizing the lamp. Reflecting on the ceiling, the light spreads gently, illuminating the environment without dazzling.

 

 

Lampada Gigi è una lampada da terra, prodotta come edizione limitata di 50 esemplari. Il progetto nasce dal semplice meccanismo con cui la forcella porta lampada, a causa del suo peso eccentrico, si blocca sull’asta, e intorno a questa caretteristica è stato “costruito” il progetto. La base è formata da un unico massello di marmo di carrara da cui si erge una fine asta in metallo, su questa asta scorre una forcella modellata per accogliere la lampada. La forcella può essere posizionata in qualsiasi punto e a qualsiasi altezza dell’asta e automaticamente si blocca ovunque la si lasci, con la possibilità quindi di personalizzare in parte la lampada. La luce riflettendo sul soffitto si diffonde dolcemente, illuminando l’ambiente senza abbagliare.
